We are so grateful to Java Garage in the West Bottoms and Soap Refill Station in the Waldo area for letting us set up these bins. There is so much that goes into setting up a non-profit organization, and we are hard at work getting everything in place. On our endless list of things to do is to file our 1023 form, which will officially make us a 501(c)(3). The 1023 is a 40-page application that pretty much gives me a migraine every time I look at it. However, as soon as we can get it all processed, we will be able to give out receipts for donations, so it’s pretty important. We are also working on raising the money for the application fee and will be starting a crowdfunding campaign within the next week. As soon as the campaign is live, I will be sending out another email. Please consider making a donation. Every single dollar helps, and no donation is too small or insignificant!
